Dyslipidemia is a common metabolic disorder characterized by abnormal concentrations of blood lipids, including elevated total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, and/or reduced high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. It represents a major modifiable risk factor for atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular disorders, contributing substantially to global morbidity and mortality. The rising prevalence of obesity, diabetes mellitus, sedentary lifestyles, and unhealthy dietary patterns has significantly increased the burden of dyslipidemia worldwide. Early identification and effective management are essential to reduce cardiovascular risk and improve long-term health outcomes. Conventional treatment strategies include lifestyle modifications such as dietary regulation, regular physical activity, weight management, smoking cessation, and pharmacological interventions, particularly statins and other lipid-lowering agents. Homoeopathy offers a holistic and individualized system of medicine that seeks to address the patient's constitutional characteristics and underlying metabolic imbalances. Remedies including Cholesterinum, Lycopodium clavatum, Calcarea carbonica, Nux vomica, and Sulphur are frequently considered according to individual symptom profiles. This review highlights the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, conventional management, and the potential complementary role of homoeopathy in the comprehensive care of patients with dyslipidemia.
