1. General Information

NJMRYS publishes peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly articles in medical sciences, yoga sciences, and allied health sciences. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

3. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
File Format

Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
Use Times New Roman, font size 12, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins.

4. Structure of Manuscripts

Title Page (Submitted Separately)

Title of the manuscript
Full names of all authors
Affiliations and institutional addresses
Corresponding author details (email & phone)
ORCID iD (if available)
Main Text (Blinded)

Abstract
Keywords (3–6)
Introduction
Materials and Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgements (if any)
References

5. Abstract

Original Articles: Structured abstract (250 words max)
Review Articles: Unstructured abstract (250 words max)
Case Reports: 150 words max

6. Keywords

Provide 3–6 keywords preferably from MeSH (Medical Subject Headings).

7. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively
Provide clear legends and titles
Images must be of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
Do not embed figures within the text body

8. References

References must follow Vancouver style
Authors are responsible for accuracy and completeness
Example:

Sharma A, Kumar R. Effects of yoga on stress management. J Med Yoga Sci. 2023;5(2):45–50.

9. Ethical Requirements

Ethical committee approval is mandatory for human and animal studies
Clinical trials must include trial registration number
Written informed consent is required where applicable

10. Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism
Acceptable similarity index: ≤15%
Manuscripts exceeding limits will be rejected or returned for correction

11. Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest.

Statement example:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

12. Funding Disclosure

All sources of funding must be clearly mentioned
If no funding, state: “No funding received.”

13. Peer Review Process

NJMRYS follows a double-blind peer review system
Editorial decision is final

14. Copyright & Open Access

Authors retain copyright
Articles are published under Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 license

15. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Any applicable APCs will be clearly stated on the journal website
Editorial decisions are independent of APCs

16. Submission Process

17. Revision & Proofs

Revised manuscripts must include a point-by-point response
Proofs must be reviewed and returned within stipulated time

18. Appeals

Authors may appeal editorial decisions with valid justification
Final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief
