Abstract

Background: Hand hygiene is recognized as the single most effective and cost-efficient measure to prevent hospital acquired infections (HAIs . Despite clear international guidelines, compliance among health care workers (HCWs)  remains low in many settings. Aim: To assess hand hygiene knowledge, attitudes, and practices among health care 
workers in a tertiary care hospital.
